We built the course we wished existed.
The LBO Ledger exists for one reason: to help people break into finance and actually be ready for the job once they get there — without charging training-budget prices to do it.
Most people trying to break into investment banking, private equity, private credit, hedge funds, or a valuation-heavy role aren't short on motivation — they're short on a clear, honest path. The existing options are either hundreds of dollars for a bundle of recorded video you'll skip through, or scattered free content that never quite adds up to real, interview-ready skill. We built The LBO Ledger to close that gap: written, spreadsheet-first courses built around the actual job, not a watered-down version of it.
Every course on this site is built the same way: real, working Excel models — not static templates with the formulas already filled in — paired with written lessons that explain the logic behind every line, so you understand why a model is built the way it is, not just how to copy it. That's the difference between memorizing an answer and actually being able to defend it when an interviewer asks a follow-up question you didn't rehearse for.
We also made a deliberate choice on price. Comparable programs from established players often run $200–$600 for a single course. Ours are $79 — one-time, no subscription, yours to keep. We'd rather make this genuinely accessible to the college student or career-switcher who needs it most, than price it for a corporate training budget. Cheaper isn't a compromise here; it's narrower scope done properly, one skill at a time, instead of a bloated bundle padded out to justify a higher price.
